the keysense wire must see a negative during remote start to keep service engine lite from coming on???  i really do know much about relays at all. and iv tried following other post but i really dont understand ....if somebody could please help me understand how to fix this problem i would really appreciate it. i dont know how relays are wired and/or where to purchase the correct relay. my remote starter is bulldog security remote starter. model RS82. please help me out. thanks alot

You don't even need a relay; should be just two diodes.

This Bulldog unit should have some sort of output that makes a ground when the remote starter is on.....it should be already connected to whatever you're using for your Passlock II bypass, right?

You just need to split that output with two ordinary diodes (Radio Shack or wherever).

First, cut the connectiong between the RS82 and your bypass module.

Connect the striped end of two diodes to the RS82's GWR (ground-while-running) output.

Connect the other end of one diode back to your Passlock bypass like it was before.

Connect the end of the other diode to the car's keysense wire.

That or if the RS has a - IGN3 output you could probably just wire KS to that as well.

^ no those pos things only have a single status out. I've done like 3 of those in the last 2 weeks.
