I am getting ready to install a remote start into the girlfriend's car. I have a T-harness and all of my ignition wiring harness connections ready to go, the lock/unlock I have wired in (using relays and resistors)...trunk....door sense...horn...parking lights...etc

I know I need a Passlock II bypass module but am having some trouble finding good information for this one.

What module should I be looking at getting? What wires need to be spliced into for the Alero?

I suggest using the iDatalink ADS-TBSL-PL for this vehicle. Very simple installation and inexpensive.

I am a little confused.

This is the wiring diagram I found for this vehicle's installation type.

The "Pink - Ignition Input" - is incoming to this unit? Or is an input for the ignition wire?

I guess it really doesn't matter, it needs to be placed in-line with the ignition wire. Correct? How does it disarm the Passkey II? Is it through the data port or through the ignition wire input?

Okay that makes sense. I was just confused because other modules show 3...4...5 connectiosn to the steering column wiring harness and this only shows 2.
