this is where you shoot a PM to Velocity Motorsports. he deals with compustar on a daily basis, so he should be able to help you out. On that note, i think you need to be an authorized comp dealer to get acess to the flash files.

You can update it via the idatalink website. If the compustar brain needs a software update it will mention it while you connect any BLADE module. As far as I was told and i have not tested the theory you cannot update the brain without the blade in the compustar brain. Another way is by visiting the compustar website.

this has all been tried, I have a brain that is not supported by doing it this way, it is the CM5000-SF brain this has been confirmed by firstech and staub, this is what they say

I have a message to velocity motorsports on another forum we will see if he has any ideas

All of the above are true plus you can set all of the basic program options.  Very sweet!

yeap, your lucky you have the op500 on hand. However, the default programming of the compustar is what most people tend to use anyways. I have installed a few compustars myself, but never found the use of the op500. I have used it maybe once to change one of the pos wire to a differant function. Other than that, the default programming wil work fine.
