2007 toyota corolla immobilizer

Hi i am planning on installing a viper 5901 in my girlfriends 2007 Toyota corolla le for Christmas. I believe that it has the immobilizer and transponder key. I am curious if the Directed Electronics CANMAX400 XpressKit Stand Alone Combo Bypass and Door Lock Interface (XK400X) will work for this application. I have never installed a R/S on a vehicle with an immobilizer before, is their any thing else that I may need? I noticed that it says that I need a 2nd generation XKLOADER2 required for FLASHING CANMAX400. Is their an easier interface that I could use that wouldn't require a xkloader2?

I've never used the Canmax piece, and I've only installed maybe three of the newer-style Vipers.

If I'm not mistaken, one super-cool thing is that you can "dock" that canmax piece inside the Viper, making the install cleaner, right?

Anyway, wherever you buy that canmax piece from, buy it from a seller who will flash it with the correct firmware, even if it costs you a little more than buying it somewhere else.

I've personally had the most experience with the KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 and/or KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL from Fortin (ifar.ca) The "all" piece costs a little more because it does more kinds of other cars. The SL2 would be cheaper for you, but if you can only find an ALL that would be fine too. Both pieces install the same way, and you can read the install guides online.

ADS (idatalink.com) also makes some nice pieces for Toyota, although I have less experience with them. Their connectors and wiring are of far superior quality to the Fortin pieces.

I have done some further investigation on the 5901 module for d2d and found that it has the built in docking port and it recommends the xk400n. Does anyone know if this will be compatible with the 2007 corolla? Thanks

i say go with the fortin pieces. easy to install and real reliable. no problems with them. Also, they are cheaper compared to idatalink or bypasskits from waht i see.
