Hi guys,

I have a question concerning the wiring of sensors to the 4 wire sensor port. The manual states that the black wire provides ground to the sensor. Does this provide a ground all the time or only when armed? This would be an issue when using a tilt sensor since it requires a ground when armed to determine it's initial inclination.

The other question concerns the blue and green wires. Are they isolated from each other? Meaning are diodes needed on both inputs if using more than one sensor? How would you wire a 508D and a tilt sensor? The 508D has 2 outputs for warn away and full trigger. The tilt sensor is strictly a full trigger. Do you wire both outputs of the 508D to the blue wire and the tilt sensor to the green? Would this mean you dont need a diode?

I would go for ground when armed ref the sensor port but check! Use your DMM because makes and models vary. Answer to the second question is YES.

Yes to are they isolated or yes to needing diodes? Yes to wiring both outputs of the 508D to the blue wire and the tilt sensor to the green????

No to 1
Yes to 2
No to 3 and the tilt sensor will give you false alarm nightmares.
