Get to the ignition harness, using a volt meter, check each wire in the harness, you are looking for a wire that has 12volts on it when the key is in the On position, and it has to retain that voltage even when the key is turned to the position that turns the starterr motor on.
Check the White wire first. I think that is the one you are looking for. Since you were at least asking for help in finding the wire, I hope the above helps.
