Got a car that has some issues with the unlock wire. Sometimes, not all the time, you need to remote start it for the car to respond to the remote start unlock pulse.

From everything I can find this does not have the sleep mode thats in some other Ford models.  Wondering who has had this problem. Thinking of trying to pulse the door trigger for driver door or  factory disarm.  This was an issue with the other unit that was in there. When taken out they had the unlock wire from remote start tapped in but not using the right connector.

I've done remote starts on the UK version of that year, the gem box is the same, over here the sleep problem reared it's head in 01. The trick with the locks was unless you had a 6 wire relay driven system, put 1N 4004 diodes along the lock wires from the alarm with the bands facing the alarm.
