Astrostart rss-2524, PKFM firmware PKFORD 3.00

What is happening with this vehicle is when you remote start it will start to crank then stop cranking (does not fire) and then attempt it again an start and stay running.

does not do it all the time just about 50 percent of the time

let me clarify first attempt it starts to crank then stops then on it second attempt it start the vehicle. the other 50 percent of the time it will start on the first attempt.

the attempts are the starter its self trying with only one button push.

I am not familiar with either of your pieces of equipment.  Do they require a tach wire?  Did you use the tach wire, or was there another way you could do it and not have to use the tach wire?  If so, use the tach wire.  It is really the best way.

I will try to relearn the tach

could it be the bypass is improperly programed? it all most like the first attempt the bypass is not giving the signal and by the second attempt it is

I see those symptoms Alot with Auto-Page's default crank time...Usually (as kg said) increasing crank time a bit usually cures/solves the problem...Re-learning tach cant hurt...!

Also...You could unplug the bypass and put the key in the ignition and see if it remote starts...Just  dont leave the bypass hooked up and try the key in the ignition...One  or the other...Just not both at the same time...Also...I am not sure if there will have to be any re-programming of the bypass once disconnected...!
