I installing a 550 esp on a '03 Expedition but I have the wrong door trigger, I used the dome light wire and it's doesnt work right, the truck has a delay on the dome light and the alarm bypasses all the doors if armed with the dome still on. Which wire and were should a attach the door trigger wire???

there is one wire for each door.

To avoid dome light delay use separate door trigger wires at the VSM. The LF door trigger is BLACK / YELLOW, RF is BLACK/ pink, LR is BLACK/ lt. blue, RR is BLACK/ white, and the hatch pin is WHITE/ purple. They are all negative trigger, use all wires and diode isolate each.

you have to find it though i dont remember where it is but you may be able to find the dirvers, left pass and rear in one kick and the other two doors in pass kick.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

How did you get those wires to trigger the alarm? I found that they show ground when the door is closed and nothing when the door opens. Tying into these wires had the opposite effect for me as alarms normally look for B+ or Ground when the door is moved to the open position.

Does anyone have an answer to the above question? I would like to hardwire the alarm to the door triggers in the Ford Expedition. I would like to this because the dome light is very sporadic and it is annoying the customer when the alarm always arms itself with the door open. The problem I am having is that the door switches are reversed from what is normal. They show ground when closed! The APS995C is looking for the opposite signal. I can't think of another way to do this without using 5 diodes and a relay to reverse the polarity of those switches. If anyone has any better insight into this one please pass it along. Thank you.
