Hi

just joined .

I have a good experience with car installation and wiring, but of course you're the experts. I have recently installed a new Alarm system that came with windows roll up and remote start into my Toyota Landcruiser 2007. all were ok. alram was functioning 100%. car wont start without the key in ign, so it needed bypass.

I decided to install the bypass module, I was advised to get XK01. I did , however I received the XK01 AMDL not TOYDL. I have the following questions:

1- would AMDL work for my vechile(Landcruiser 2007 that has keyless entry and after market alarm)?

2- XK01 came with the 10pin only, If I needed to flash/upgrade how can I connect it to my PC/Laptop?

3- I tried connecting the Red and Black wires only, the light wnt on,solid and stayed solid regardless of switch (on/off/accessories). is this a faulty part??

thanks guys:)

XK01 doesn't do transponder bypass; it's only for doorlocks and factory alarm disarm.

To flash the TOYDL firnmware to the XK01, you need to buy the XKLoader, or find a local install shop that has the loader to flash the module for you.

To bypass the immobilizer you can use any of the various ADS modules at www.idatalink.com, or the Fortin key-override-sl2 or key-override-all at www.ifar.ca

There is the XK05 module that will do transponder bypass, but installation is unnecessarily complex.
