I am installing a XK05 immobilizer bypass into a 2004 Camry and I have conflicting and incomplete wiring information for this kit. Can anyone tell me if I need to get the wiring at the immobilizer module on the key cylinder or the DATA IMO and IMI wires and where I would find them ?

I have been to xpresskit.com and xpressvip.com and their information does not list this vehicle specifically although it says this is the kit for this vehicle.

The XK05 required that you run wires all over the place, usually behind the glove box, and sometimes even out under the hood!

I have never used one on a Toyota, just read the install guides and then avoided them.

To find the correct manual, go to www.xpressdownload.com and then somewhere around the upper-right, it says Install Guides or something like that. Click there and you'll see a list of products. Click on the XK05 and you'll see a list of firmares. Click on the firmware that you have for your car, and you should see the install guide.

If you want to instead just make three easy connections right at the key cylinder, return the XK05 and get any of the modules from ADS (idatalink.com) or Fortin (ifar.ca).

key-override-all for me. works wonders and basically compatable with almost every car out there.

556U is not an option as my friend doesn't want to sacrifice a key.

I have looked at the install directions for the PKT2 firmware but there is no listing for the 2004 Camry nor does it say where the data wires can be found. These kits are usually good but they should have asked a novice to proofread the manual so they could have included the location of these wires. How would I know where ECU connector E7 is unless I was a Toyota dealer technician ?

A good reason to use Idatalink modules! Very few connections and the directions are very easy to follow....
