Hi,

I have an Alpine 8040 that has worked great for 19 years- I recently replaced the control unit and can not find the proceedure to set the sensors (radar and shock).

Does anyone have the installation manual for this unit?

Thanks  Tom

In the downloads section the owner's manual talks about dip switches and adjusting them for sensitivity. Link

Thanks for the reply. I do have the owners manual (I posted it here), but it does not have the instruction for setting the sensor sensitivity.

I know that if the system is in the valet mode and the TX/ext buttons are pushed it enters the programming mode. There should be a way to set the outside area, inside area, and the shock sensor. I can get it to set the outside mode, but that is it, I don't know how to get it to the other areas. I know the LED blinks and the chirps indentify the programming sections, I just need to identify them.

I did have a install manual for the system, but I have lost it.

Thanks for you help in advance.     Tom
