Compustar has been working and installed in an 08 honda accord for nearly a year and in the past few months a problem has reared its ugly head. On occassion the unit puts the car in "dead mode" where it can't be started, put into reservation, taken out of reservation, but the doors can be locked and unlocked. The last time this happened, with much fiddling of the remote / buttons, the car came out of this kill mode and restarted. Its a 2BSHLED. Any input would be appreciated. Car is "dead" at the moment.

reset the mdule if you can. look in your manual, but if you do this, make sure you reprogram thedoor unlock for double pulse. another thing to check is a faulty ground connection. A bad ground connection can stir up many problems.

It may be that you have it in valet mode.Behind the remote you should have the button configuration that explains how to take the vehicle off valet mode. We started carrying compustar instead of DEI and I love it but they seem to easily go into valet mode without the customer noticing it with a 1-way remote.
