The python991 CM has a 2-pin header for a supplied SPST Neutral Saftey Switch and in addition I note that H2/18 pin is called Neutral Saftey Input. Are these basically the same input pins? In other words if the SPST switch is plugged into the 2-pin connector and the switch is on, does that in effect gnd the H2/18 pin or do I still need to gnd H2/18? Doing an automatic trans car here.

you need to ground the wire, AND plug the switch in and set it to ON. The switch is there for when the vehicle is serviced and you want to turn the remote start off. The wire is there for when doing manual transmission vehicles, this would go to the parking brake.

Thanks for confirming... seems like they could have come up with a better name for the SPST Neutral Saftey Switch so as not to confuse it with the manual transmission neutral switch input. They should have called the SPST switch a "Remote Start Disable Switch".
