remote starter bypass module

Hey, I have a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition. I'm installing the Viper 5901 security/remote start system. The alarm and keyless entry works fine. The remote start works, kinda.

In order to bypass the immobilizer i'm using the xpresskit pkfm xk05 bypass module. The power led is flashing so I know it works. I've tried programming it several times, resetting it and I have checked and re-checked the wiring (with a voltage tester, it works).

If I plug in the module and try to start the car with the key then my theft light flashes and the immobilizer system turns on, the car does not start. If I disconnect the module, I can then start the car with the key. If the key is sitting in the ignition (whether the key is turned on or not) and the module is disconnected then the system can successfully start the car so I know that everything is wired correctly.

With the key in the ignition and the module disconnected, the car can remote start, but as soon as I remove the key the engine dies.

I think that the module is not wired correctly. I've attached the wires from the module to what I think is the harness for the immobilizer; and I know this is the correct harness because if I disconnect the harness the ignition fails (with key turned on or not / module disconnected) when I try to start the car.

I know that this means the bypass module is not wired correctly, but I guess i'm asking for help on how wire it up and program is correctly.

I bought the unit off ebay. The person I bought it from programmed it before he sent it. The manual from the website says that its compatible with my car.

I attached the green wire to the 4th slot(tx) and the pink wire to the 3rd slot(rx); this configuration makes light on the module flash really fast and then turns solid. my theft light flashes and then turns off after a while.

with the wires setup to be vise-versa, it makes my theft light flash and not go out. The remote start does not function with the key out of the ignition.

I figured it out. I forgot to connect one of the tiny plugs at the actual PATS module. Thank you for your reply!

Can you help me out with the parking light? I've tried acouple things but they all have a problem.

I could not find the WHITE/ black or violet/white wires. The brown wire controls the parking lights and the dash lights, which whenever the parking lights flash, the interior dash lights flash as well; this is not what I want. I checked every wire on the light control module and every one is connected to the light dimming switch (which according to https://www.toyotatundraforum.com/pdf/Responder%20LE%20Model%205701%20Installation%20Manual.pdf is the correct way to find the parking light wire)

I did hook the parking light output to the hazards in the steering column but whenever the remote start is triggered it thinks the brake is pushed and turns off. (it was also hooked up to turn on all my brake lights, for visibility)

I'm sorry, you said Expedition and I gave you explorer.  It is a (+) Brown wire as you said.  Did you try the Head Light Switch itself?  Another place to look for the Parking Light wire (in the Exedition) is in a Black 8 pin connector in the Drivers Kick Panel.  It is also Brown (+). 

I ended up hooking it up into the brown wire at the switch.

I also connected the +12v white wire to every connection and came to same conclusion as jim hunters response. Thank you anyway.

I didn't want it just because i'm self-diagnosed ocd and it bugs me (>_<) but i'll get over it. There really is no reason other than it looks unprofessional.
