This impala thou, is killing me, I installed a prestige aps787n

module, then it works for another 3 days??? I've replaced the module

I used a xpress kit by dei ( gmdlbp ) which I used only to by pass the immobilzer
did not use for door locks or trunk...instructions said they would not work.
Like I said I'm new to this, so what specific info do you need... Again thanks for your time.....

1. Where is the RED / white thick constant power module from the 787 connected?

2. Where is the ground from the 787 connected?

3. On the antenna, there should be a little sticker with a bar code and some numbers. Do the numbers end in 80 or 81?

1 red & RED / wht conn. To red ign cyl wiring harness 12v. Constant
2 blk ground wire to bolt holding metal protective cover for steering column.
3 I'll check that number as soon as I can locate my cousin ( owner )

Well, your power and ground are where I also get them whenever I do those cars.

As far as the antenna, your APS-787N should be the most current model, and shouldn't have any problem, but I only asked because of this:

https://documents.audiovox.com/701129.pdf

Any chance there's some kind of radio interference where you are, when it stops working?

When it stops working, are you unplugging the module immediately, or disarming with the valet switch adn then driving?

Next time it does it, don't unplug it right away.

Try to disarm it by opening the car with the key and then disarm using the valet button........turn key to Run, press/release LED/pushbutton, should disarm right away.

If it disarms using valet, you know your constant, ground, ignition, and valet buttons are all good............I would start looking into the antenna, antenna cable, remotes, or local interference.

On the other hand, if it doesn't disarm even with the valet, and you've already replaced the brain once, there has to be some kind of problem with your installation.

The thing is that the alarm/rs stops working complete nothing works.
The car still starts manually. It acts like it has no alarm installed...
No fuses blow. To get it 2 work again, I have disconnect module then
everthing works.....???

Honestly I don't remember w platform I programmed. I followed inst. To best of my ability
But if I did that wrong the car would not start w remote start...
Correct me if I'm wrong...

I'd have to look @ the paper work on xpress kit, which I told my cousin to save but like a dumb ***.. He threw all the paper work away....

But I don't think that is the problem
again correct me ... You guys know a hella alot more than I do!!!!

I'm thinkin do these alarms have a failsafe that would shut it down completly ?
And if they did which wiring harness on the alarm module should I start w first
