Hi there, the 2003 explorer requires a security bypass module. Did you install one ?

It won't start at all without a by-pass, it's probably tach either not learned or left on virtual tach.

He ruled out bypass when he said it started and ran for 5 to 7 seconds! ------------- COMMIT YOUR WAY TO JEHOVAH AND HE WILL ACT IN YOUR BEHALF.

^ yeah but once you learn tach it switches over to tach sensing not voltage sensing. I verified with a bitwriter a few weeks back./

Did the LED light up when you held the valet button down? If it did then you need to find another tach signal as the viper doesn't seem to work well with the wire you used. If it didn't light up then it didn't learn tach.
