Hey guys I just installed my compustar alarm/remote start Its the 2w900fm w/ a cm3000 brain. Got everything hooked up and was testing the system. The alarm works fine just like its supposed too. I pulled the car outside and set up the reservation mode. I have a manual trans. The reservation mode worked fine I turned off the ignition open and closed the door. The engine shut off, the door locked and system armed. So I waited a few seconds then hit the number II button on my remote for the 2.5 seconds. It didnt start, the ignition came on the remote beeped once I think, All my lights on my dash came on but the starter didnt turn over. The system did this three times I think but the starter never turned over just the ignition turned on. Now I do have the both dipswitches in the off position for sensing the alternator.
Can you guys suggest to me what I should be looking for might be wrong?
Thanks

does the remote say ER-01? if so, you dont have a valid tach or the tach was not programmed properly for first start attempt. Now, make you also did a clutch bypass.

Either no clutch bypass or you reversed the 2 wires going to the starter wire.

what jworm said, it might be a clutch bypass issue OR you have the starter kill wired the wrong way. Yellow/Black towards key cylinder, Yellow towards starter.

Sounds like you didnt learn TACH. There is a button on the brain. Start the car, let it idle, and press the button. Pay attention to the parking light relay that triggers. Once click is good. More than one, you have an issue.
