I am installing a bulldog rs1100 remote start on an 02 Mercury Cougar V6.  I am completely stumped on where I wire in my bypass module's blue wire and my remote starts white security bypass wire.  It says it needs to be grounded while running, but I cannot find anything that grounds while running.  I tried using the crankwire but that just drained the battery, and also did not work.  If I put the blue wire from the bypass and the white wire from the remote starter I can get it to crank, but then cannot use the key in the ignition for normal operation.  What am I missing.

I know this is an easy answer to someone

THere should be a ground while running wire on your remote start unit.  It may also be turning on the parking lights to let you know the vehicle is running.

Is there a yellow/black wire on the bulldog, I believe the manual says no connection but you could try to remote start the car with the key in ignition and meter that wire and see if there is a gound when running output, if so that's the wire you want to go to blue status wire from bypass.
