I have a 1994 chevy truck with a compustar CM5200 2-way (no bypass) installed (Not my install).  When starting, it cranks too long.  The option 2-12 for crank time adjust does not show on the op-500.  Also, I cannot access 2-12 via the remote. Why is this?  Is there another way?  It seems like the tach isn't doing what it should.

Thanks in advance.

Unit's probably in voltage mode! Maybe you could run a tach wire and program tach instead! just my 0.02 cents! Not really familiar with those units!

the tach setting is in 2-01. Default the unit for the option menu 2, then run a tach wire.

the reason you might not be able to access it from the 2way, your not waiting to hear clicks in between the steps.

step 1) hold button (1 and 2) for 3 seconds, unit will click once.
step 2)hold button (1 and 4) for 3 seconds, unit will click again

*in this case i would suggest you run a tach wire and reset the option 2 programming menu, and to do that

follow steps 1 and 2, Hit button 3 THREE TIMES to RESET the option group (brings it back to tach sense) you will hear the unit click.
here is the important part. Once the unit has been reset, and you hear the unit click or siren chirp, you reset the unit. turn on your ignition to run then off. Now  your unit is defaulted.

start the car, let it idle. Hold the brakes and press and hold button II on the 2way or start button on 1 way for 2 seconds. siren will chirp to indicate tach programmed. only play with 2-12 if you have it in voltage sense. If anything, use your OP500 and default the unit.

Thank you for responding.  Sorry I haven't gotten back to you earlier (this is a co-worker's truck).  Have been very busy with other installs.  Anyway, I tried the resetting proceedure to no avail.  I am positive I did it correctly because I had to put back the 25 minute run time.  Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.  By the way, I double checked the tach wire connection.
