What are the bypass options for the new Subaru's, 2009 Impreza,Legacy etc...

Fortin makes a keyless module which requires a dealer key programming tool,

Same goes for idatalink module.

BypassKit.com didn't show any immobilizer bypasses when I searched (2009 Legacy) Only a door lock module

1.Are they any keyless bypasses which don't require a dealer scan tool.

2.Where could I get a dealer scan tool, I can imagine a installer going to a dealership, then using there scan tool to complete the install(Not too practical)

3. Will an old DEi 556U or similar universal transponder module still work? I used to put them in Sub's back in the day 03-05(What sucks is that the customer will lose that key though so I am trying to avoid using one at all costs)

i use fortin pieces, unfortunatly when we get one of these cars, we charge anexta 45bucks because we bring it to the dealer and use their scan tool. From what i know, there is no way around this (modules requiring dealer tool).

like you mentioned, a 556u would work. all the subarus come with 3 keys now. 2 master and 1 valet. just stick the valet and your good to go. good luck
