I've got a 2003 Rav4, and my girlfirend bought it new from dealer with a Checkmate keyless/alarm system installed.  I highly doubt it's factory.  The system crashes vehicle when I disconnect the Checkmate.  I want to put a Viper 771XV keyless/alarm/remote start in, any tips from some pros who've dealth with these "dealership-installed" security systems?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, I'm not lazy!  I've been googling like crazy and I checked out the other two topics on 2003 Rav4 and they were no help.  Just a little waiver before I get 50 lmgtfy.com posts. lol!
