07 sentra smart key

So was doing a R/S in an 07 Sentra. I'm having problems with the DLPK bypass I am using. It programs correctly, but lock/unlock doesn't work and I haven't been able to get the transponder to work yet either. Here's the diagram I have been using. here

I grabbed the Can high/low from the Diagnostics port. Blue was high pink low. I'm thinking about going to the BCM for this instead?
I hooked up WHITE/ red to the driver door pin which was lt. Blue in the kick

The questions I had was the RED / blue and RED / white were hooked up, but only the RED / blue shows + voltage when the key is pushed in. Should I still hook up both of these?

Also the brown and yellow, do I just hook these together with enough slack to wrap around the valet key and key cylinder?

Because I did all this, it starts and runs with remote start, but I can't move the key forward because of the immobilizer LED on the dash. But even if I put the 2nd key in the vehicle and remote start it, it works and the LED goes off, but I still can't move the cylinder forward.

What do you guys think?

you cant move the key forward as in it wont turn in the ignition cylinder?

try turning the key while you move the steering wheel left to right. It might be a steering wheel lock, not because of the flashing LED.

the can wires are correct and easier to get at the OBD plug.

you should follow the installation digram exactly, or you might not be able to program the thing.

for the brown and yellow wires just join them and have enough slack to wrap around the barrel and key. after all connections are done, PROGRAM it. it wont just bypass by wrapping the key around.

I also often make my CAN High and CAN Low connections at the OBDII port--it's sometimes easier. Nothing wrong with that. I sometimes even use the OBDII wiring for constant, ignition, and ground.

Even if you can get the module to control the doorlocks, it's pointless, as the module won't arm and disarm the factory alarm.

Does the install guide show you where to add wires to empty pins 13 and 14 at the BCM to control locks?

(By the way, the factory remote on that car works even with the remote starter running...I usually just do a one-button remote-start-only on those cars.)

The ignition cylinder not turning after remote start is normal; I never personally found a way around it on that car.

If you use an ADS module, they recently developed a way to allow the key tumbler to work during remote start.

If you get rid of the DLPK and put in an ADS module, I'm pretty sure you'll be all set.

If not, you'll have to hit the brake so the car shuts down, and restart it before driving away. (Or, if you prefer, tie the car's driver door trigger wire into the hoodpin input of the remote start, so it'll shut down immediately when you open the door.)

You could go to www.idatalink.com and download one of their install guides for their products with your car. It'll show you a wire to interrupt for the key tumbler. You may or may not have some luck trying their technique using your DLPK.

Thanks guys. I think I will try to get the immobilizer working today and see if the tumbler moves then, and I will manually do locks/unlock. The DLPK is supposed to allow the tumbler to move but it just isn't working right now.

I will see what I can get going, or possibly switch to the ADS module.

Well fiddling around with it for a bit, it seems everything was working as it was supposed to be. My winding of the wire around the cylinder was a little loose though, but I fixed it.

Apparently talking with Directed, the DLPK does NOT do lock/unlock, and trunk pop, and key takeover. So all it does is immobilizer override, which is pointless because I had it running without the key winding wrapped around the cylinder!

I also tried to manually override the key-takeover by following some tricks from the ADS module, but I ran out of time. So in general comments for THIS vehicle. USE THE ADS MODULE! Far Superior.
