I am installing a bulldog security rs1200 with a 791 bypass in a 2005 Chevy Silverado all the wiring appears to be correct but the vehicle starts with the remote runs for about 5 seconds then shuts off then restarts runs for 5 more seconds and repeats does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be ?

Thanks

What wire did you tag for tachometer?

Is there any way to connect to the tach wire without digging into the pcm it looks like a great place to screw up and end up with a totally disabled vehicle. The directions refer to the white wire in the green plug but all 4 plugs look black ??

You could try a Fuel Injector.  Each one has 2 wires.  One is a common wire that is at all injectors.  The other is a unique color for each Injector.  I have found that Bulldog units prefer a strong signal and sometimes won't learn the Injector of coil signal.

The best place for the Bulldog is:

PCM Located On The Drivers Side Of The Motor. Tach Wire Is In The BLUE Conn (C1)
Closest To The Firewall,Pin #49 or also found back of Instrument Cluster, White wire in 24 pin GRAY Conn Pin # A12.

Soldering is fun!
