does anyone know how I would turn the headed seats on automatically with the remote start on a 2000 silverado? its a viper 5901 so i have plenty of options for what trigger them with.

any tips/tricks that anyone knows of? there is a lt blue wire doing to the drivers seat that tests at ~10v on high and ~8v on low (0 at rest)

You found your wire, now just activate it with a relay.

85- blue/white from remote start and set it to rear defroster latched
86- 12volts +
30- to the wire you found
87- same as 30

It doesn't matter that I am not getting system voltage on this wire? I figured since it was only ~10v on high with the vehicle running that I might cause problems when I relay the wire and give it system voltage (~14v)...Your thoughts?

The switch on the door. On the back side find 2 solder points, one on each side of the switch (kinda down as well)

Solder one wire to each point. One wire will go to pin 87 on a relay, the other wire will connect to pin 30 THRU a 2Kohm resistor.

On pin 86, 12V, on pin 85 use the trunk pop from your unit. One trunk pop will turn the seat on HI, one more time it's on LOW, once more its OFF.

Thanks for the info. Does this mean that I could trigger the lt blue wire I found at the seat with a 2K ohm resistor (wired like you explained with the relay) for the same purpose? Or does it have to be at the switch?

I got the wires soldered to the contact points on the back of the switch. I am curious though, why the 2K ohm resistor?
