I installed a Viper 7900 into a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. Everything works except for an intermittent remote start. The arm/disarm and the AUX respond fine. if I press the remote start button the remote says transmitting but i get no response, not even a "out of range". Arm/Disarm does work everywhere as well as the AUX.

Basicly I'm trying to figure out if its something local with the car, or mabe the remote/antenna.

Thanks in advance

Just to clearify the remote start does seem to work sometimesbut it seems to be very range limited.

DEI had problems with the remotes they had to discontinue that model, i also have the same viper on my car and i have already had to change the remote. Try replacing antenna see if that helps if it doesnt, then its your remote

Ok so last question what other responders are compatible with this model? DEI's site seems to just refer to the 7541..  is the only suitable replacement the 7941?
