Can someone please help me? im looking to disarm find the Disarm factory alarm wire without going into the door of my 2005 Acura TL. It says it's BLACK/ red to white I didnt see any White wire though. in order to find the wire do i put the power probe on different wires and turn the key to the unlock position in the key cylinder? What type of signal am i looking for from the disarm wire? Negative or positive?

When you are on the wire you think is the correct wire, connect the probe to the wire, turn the key in door to the unlock position and your probe will show ground.

You have to go into the door to interface with the analog disarm wire. The only way to interface with the factory alarm without going into the door is to use a data module.

So basically what you're saying is that unless you have the Data Module I will have to go inside the door then? Will the wire be directly under the switch or somewhere inside the door? Is it a pain in the ass to look for it inside the door?

if memory serves correctly, it'll be in the harness that plugs into the power window switches in the driver's door

Tedmund did a post on this recently, he found them INSIDE the car, contact him.

yea i did, the 05 TL, i dont think the wiring is the same. I have the 09 accord, but then again the TL is an accord rebadged with extra goodies.

Try looking high up in your dash, and lok for 4 square connectors that have dummy plugs on them. THere is a grey, blue and two white plugs. In the white plug, you should see VERY thin gauge wire. Its around 22 gauge if not more. If its the same as the 09 accord, it will be Orange and White.

That works without diode isolating the unlock detection wire?

you will diode isolate the orange and white wires.

Sorry to revive old thread, but wanted to update.

I tried this trick in an 06 accord today, could not find the right colored plugs, but I did have some extra time to start probing some plugs that looked similar that were dummy plugs. The were Green, light blue, and two white plugs high in the kick/behind the sunroof and VCA switches. Nothing, so I assume this trick only works on 08+ accords.

Also on those plugs can you grab re-arm as well?

Can you post a picture please Ted so I can compare where yours were at.
