Hey guys, i have a question about this car ,trying to do a remote start on it ,can anyone tell me what bypass i need to override the Passlock 2 on this car. I try measuring the resistance on the yellow and black wire and wanted to use a resistor and a relay the old fashion way , but i found two black wires and one yellow wire and they each giving e a different readings.Any help is appreciated. ------------- triniforever

You have a couple of options to find the correct wires:
1. Start car, leave running. Cut one of those yellow wires. If the "security" lamp comes on and stays on, you found the right wire.
(If you put the wire back together and re-start the car, the light goes back out.)
But that still doesn't tell you which is the Passlock ground reference wire.
OR:
2. Take the plastic shroud off the steering column (should be just a couple of screws and unsnap).
Follow all the wires up the steering column and see where they go. You'll clearly see that some go to the headlamp switch, some to the wipers, some to the airbag, and so forth.
There should be a small, three-pin plug that will have the three Passlock wires (ignition, ground, R-code), and it should be going right into the side or top of the ignition switch, pretty close to where you insert the key.
