my friend got this piece for his 2006 cobalt... i attempted an install yesterday , and the instructions didnt list cobalt.. but i found these instructions that list the cobalt
https://www.bypasskit.com/manuals/996_DLPKGM_H00_S00_D02_I_ENFR.pdf
my problem is that weather it was d2d or w2w, it didnt program, i held button plugged in plugs light came on, and as soon as the ignition was turned on the led just shut off.... its the first time i used one, so i dont know if it was user error, or the software version was wrong, or it just doesnt work with a cobalt... i used type 4 install... the software version is 1.0 any ideas????????

what are you using to bypass the PK3 system ?    what kind of system are you installing ?

ive used the dlpk modules on suzuki XL7 and KIA Sedona with no issues so far program first try   make sure the module is up to date i check before i install any of them i think its at 14.04 right now   you need the xkloader2 to program it

I had the same EXACT problem in a 2006 cobalt, did both w2w and d2d, led turns off when programming as soon as I turn the ignition on.

I even emailed the FAQ section on the their website and no reply yet...

So, does the dlpkgm not bypass PK3?

This is the first chevy that I have worked on with electric powered steering and that does not have any heavy gauge wires going to the ignition key.
