can i use the viper 5902 color remote to set the run time to maximum, and what is the max run time possible? i know i am able to increase it before it runs out however i want to set it to maximum run time permanently.

yes, you can do it with the remote. download the manual and take a look at how to program. I believe the maximum runtime is 60 minutes.
