I just purchased a 1999 chevy silverado with a black widow RS/alarm in it. I cannot identify the model # of the system there are no numbers other than FCC numbers on the unit. The issue I am having is trying to program multiple remotes I have two remotes and can switch from one to the other through system programing but it will not take the second remote. anyone really familiar with black widow?

Try the following. It is from the black widow website its listed in the BW550 install manual. Unless there is a significant model change manufactures tend to keep programing steps similar to ease installation for authorised dealers.
Adding Transmitters
To add a new transmitter to the system have the
desired transmitters ready and follow the Code
Learning sequence.
1. Turn the ignition on, off, on, off and leave on.
• The lights will flash 3 times.
2. Press the Valet switch.
• The status LED will turn on red.
• The lights will flash 5 times.
3. Press the Lock Button on the transmitter.
• The lights will flash once.
4. Press Lock Button on the transmitter again.
• The lights will flash twice.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each additional
transmitter.
6. Turn off the ignition.
• The lights will flash 3 times.

After your program the replacement can you then program the second remote? Or does it keep dropping the previous remote? Some units delete all previous remotes when you program a new one to prevent someone from programming a remote without the owner.
