Subject: remote start/alarm advice for manual

i was looking around and could not find exactly what i was looking for in one unit and i would like some advice.

the vehicle is a 1988 honda crx si with a standard tranny

im looking for a 2-way remote start/alarm for manuals. ive seen units that will start a vehicle when the voltage drops below a threshold and also start the car when the temp reaches a certain temp. also i would like to have a remote that shows the cars temp and have a timed start mode(car starts at a programmed time)

any advice will be well appreciated. thanks in advance

autostart or polarstart have these features you just have to get the optional temp sensor to see what the temp is in the vechile through the remote. i have one works good

autopage rs730 does that.

im a compustar guy, but the compustar pro P2W900FMAS will do the job. (well priced IMO)

Crime Stopper has a setting for stick shift

You have to push the start fob with the keys still in and running.

Then take the keys out (the car stays running)

Leave your car out of gear, set the brake and get out

Shut the door and lock it x2 and the engine will stop

If any1 opens a door after you have this set up
You car will not remote start

This old of car you will want to make sure your door pins work good for the RS set up and the alarm

i dont see any of these with a low voltage start built in. can somone confirm that has one that it is built in. thats probably the most important feature i need right now. my crx seems to kill batteries when parked for a couple weeks.

All of the Autopage have a low voltage start, but I recommend using tach.

i guess im still unclear of these answers. the autopage rs915 has a built in sensor for voltage and temp. my question is will it start the car on its own(no button pressed or even if im not home) if the voltage drops below a certain point, or if the temp is below a threshold? i think im leaning towards the auto page stuff particularly the rs915. anybody had any problems with the 915? does the 915 have a timed start so the car starts for example every day at 7am? and whats the real world range like? and how fast is the 2-way communication. i installed an autostart(i think that was the brand) and the remote response time was pretty fast almost instant.

so i got a autopage 915 in, but i still dont see the way it starts a vehicle on its own with low voltage. can anyone comfirm this for me, i think i saw a temp start.

another thing i noticed is what makes this unit safe for a manual tranny car, i installed an ultrastart yellow brain, and it had a sequence to leave the vehicle. this 915 did not seem to have anything like that. my crx does not have a clutch switch so that part is not a problem, i just wanna make sure it fool-proof, like the ultrastart.

The 915 has a manual transmission sequence, it just is not published. Send me your email and I will send it to you.
