Expert Help Requested

Hey Guys, I just upgraded to a 2009 F150 XLT Crew Cab from a 2004 F150 XLT Supercab. I am installing a Clifford 3.3x Responder LE 2-way Security and Remote Start System. I have been able to get the alarm to function as I want it to, but I am having trouble with the remote start. I am pretty sure the problem lies with the bypass and the OEM immobilizer. I have hooked the bypass up several ways and still can not get it to disable the immobilizer. When I try to remote start, the system beeps a few times, the lights come on, gauges light up, and I hear some clicks at the ignition switch. The security dummy light on the instrument panel flashes rapidly.

The Keysense (Blue/White @ Ignition Switch) wire is currently cut and the violet wire from the bypass is connected to it. I have nothing currently connected to the Ignition Switch side of the Keysense wire. I also do not have anything hooked up for the Lock Motor because I did not find anything in the Clifford installation manual for this.

If anyone could review the connections below and offer any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

3 potential problems I see.

One problem is your door trigger. You have it connected to the (+) door trigger input of the alarm, but then you have the dome supervision relay sending a ground output to the dome light wire. One of those is wrong.   I don't have a tech sheet for your truck, so I'm not sure which one.

Try connecting the RED / white in harness 3 to constant 12v at the SJB.

You shouldn't be cutting the keysense wire in the truck. I assume the violet wire on the TBXKEY is a (-) keysense input. Just connect it to the keysense wire in the truck. The way you have it now, you "key in ignition" warning chime will not work. The purpose of the violet wire is so the bypass doesn't activate if there is already a key in the ignition.

I tried to connect the Door trigger to the GREEN/ PURPLE (-) wire under the drivers kick panel per the wiring diagram on the Bulldog Security Website. The only problem is there are two of them at that location.

I have also reconnected the Keysense wire. I tried many combination's to get this to work and the cut version was my last try. I just left it until I could find a solution.

I have another problem now. The Airbag light in the instrument panel is staying on now. It will come on at start-up for about 5 seconds, then it will go off and come back on again and stay solid after another 5 seconds. If I cannot resolve this, I am just going to bite the bullet and take it into a shop and have them finish the install to get it working. I do not want to have any issues with the airbags.

How is this a problem?  Use your meter to verify which is the correct wire and hook it up.  You did verify all wires before making any connections right?  If not, maybe a wrong connection is causing the airbag light to come on!

i got a feeling this was a blind connection where no wires were verified.

Yes I was using a Meter and did test the wires. Today i tracked all of those GREEN/ purple wires and they all lead to one of the connections at the streering column. I am thinking the wire I needed to be looking for was not GREEN/ purple. Anyhow, I got fead up with it and pulled the entire thing out and taped up all of the locations I tapped into. The airbag lite is off now, hoever I also noticed earlier the right blinker is now not functioning. I need to check the bulbs and flasher relay.

I talked to a local shop and they want $400.00 to do the install. Does this sound reasonable?
