88 Camry Wagon.

Passenger door and hatch set the alarm off, but no other doors do. They all power the dome light, but no alarm trigger! As far as I know, they are all common wired! Wait a second... LED array domelight... I don't have an incandescent, so I can't test it, but could this do it?

I'll be back and forth. We're also putting a deck in, so he'll be here for a bit!

ANY and all suggestions will be explored!

Removing both of the rear doors switches, and scraping the paint to touch the wire directly to chassis, bypassing the physical contactor inside the switch body, confirms the back switches are bad. Those will get replaced when he gets back to work. The driver's door will still not trigger the alarm, even trying the above trick. The "Door Ajar" indicator in the dash works when driver's door is opened. The dome light powers on - both of them - when the driver's door is opened. No alarm trigger.

I am already connected to the RED / white in the kick panel. That was checked long before I came to ask here!

all door triggers are connected to the dome light? did you diode isolate?

You don't need to diode isolate when there is a single trigger circuit.

Anyway... Issue resolved. Also in the driver's kick panel, is a larger solid red wire - no stripe - that is the driver's door only trigger wire. Jumpered it to the trigger wire on the alarm brain, and it works now.
