I generally stay away from anything German, but I was wondering if anyone has installed a remote start in a 2006 Mercedes e500 successfully?

I haven't taken it apart yet. I just want to make sure it's possible & I'll do it.

only ones i have used are midcityengineering ones, they are quite costly, but plug and play and reliable, no headaches, theres like no wire or bypass info around for these pain in the ass german cars LOL, so hell let them pay the big money for the good ones, they drive a mercedes so they can afford to cough up for the proper stuff instead of us trying to add in a 200.00 unit

It seems that the interface bypass module designers won't spend the time on less common or very complicated vehicles. It doesn't make monetary sense for them.

Dei has the CanMax400, but only for door locks & other convenience items.

The Midcityengineering modules are great, but l as mentioned above.... very costly. The one thing about these modules is that they are all plug and play and integrates into OEM message center flawlessly. Go with one of these if they make a module for your particlar MB.
