Chris

I am sorry putting your name in the topic but I did not know how else to reach you.

My installer would like to get in touch with you to see if you can assist with my remote starter install.  He tried installing it and we experienced several issues such as battery drain (when hooked to door trigger) , ikey light and transponder light on, inconisistent starting, etc.  He did not use the CAN-SL2 and he is in process of ordering one now.  I finally had him remove the starter until he gets the CAN-SL2 bypass in as I need for my car to be reliable.  The problem is now the IKEY light still comes on when in any gear besides park.  I showed him this forum and he said he would like to speak with you to see if you can offer any advice.  I tried to PM you but this site would not allow it.  I also tried sending you an e-mail to your AOL address with no reply.  (I assumed you may not have received it.)  Your advice would be greatly appreciated.  I can provide my installer's number if you would be willing to give him a call.

Thank You

Pete Rebmann

What year is the car? That's important.

What module did you use, if any?

DLPK works perfectly on this car. Did he use the addendum on xpresskit.com?

I am not sure.  Could you provide me with a little more information regarding the addendum.  Thank you so much for your help.

Could you also tell me if it needs to be hooked up to the door or can it be hooked to the ignition where you can just hit ignition button twice and drive away?

https://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=1005&productid=122&firmwareid=659

Tells you exactly how to do it. Should just be able to hit the button and take off.

Have you installed on this yr/make/model before?e you experienced the yellow key light issue?   Hav Do you know what the most updated firmware would be for this module?  I think he did use this addendum.  I will check with him to make sure.   Your help is much appreciated.

I did not but my co-worker did install a viper into this vehicle. Had no issues whatsoever.
