I was wondering if it matters where you connect the yellow ignition wire from the Fortin bypass. Can you solder it into the ignition wire along with the remote start ignition lead, or do you have to strip more wire and connect it at the transponder connection along with the RX and TX connections. It isn't specific in the installation guide, it just states ignition. Thanks

Hi, I'm using the "Key Bypass All" on a 2010 Fusion.   I e-mailed Fortin support also, but it was early in the A.M. and I thought I might get a quicker response from you guys. They responded with " It does not matter where you connect this wire. It is an input so the source does not matter. However, it should be connected to the same location with the ignition output from the remote-starter". I was hoping that was the case as I had already soldered it in place. The reason I questioned it was I read another post by someone who said to use the transponder location, like yourself. Thanks for your reply!

I always connect it to the alarms ignition wire. It makes for a slightly cleaner install and I have never had any issues from this. And i've done hundreds of them.

if you are using the key-override-all any ignition source will be okay.

i have only found the fortin HONDA-SL3, if the yellow ignition is not connected at the transponder plug, it will never start or vypass properly.
