hi   just had a customer return to our store with a remote start not starting in a 2005 toyota tacoma extended cab pickup.  unit was installed about 5 years ago, it is a crimstopper model 900(v i think?).          upon testing with a power probe, the brake wire turns the probe a dim red, and upon ignition, it lights up bright.  no tone is heard(power probe 2) unless the brake is applied.  but it is enough to trip off the remote start, and i even tried wiring up a relay and it has enough juice to trigger a relay also.  i verified both brake lights are properly working- had a car last week doing the same thing because of bad bulbs.   if i remove the brake wire, the remote start works fine, but upon connection, it immediately shuts off.   any ideas?  none of us recall having this problem in the past.   thanks

I had a similar issue with a new body tahoe. I ran a wire to the third brake light and it has worked ever since.
