remote start 04 saturn vue

Hi,
I'm installing viper 5901 alarm/remote start and also using Idatalink ads-al-ca flash for car to bypass passlock 2. I have everything hooked up to the suv. When I lock the car and have it sit for a while and remote start with remote the suv will remote start for a second or 2 and then die. Try 2 ads bypass and both do the same. The keysence was tied to the (-) ignition of the 5901, was not getting good ground from ads bypass. Read a few post here about having factory disarm before remote start, but directwire says factory disarm with remote. Customer does not have factory remote is there a way to bypass that. After trying to remote start with viper remote I have to wait 5 min or play with locks to start with key. Any advice. Thanks

is your tach programed

if you did not use the tach wire use it it is more reliable

ok my books show that before remote start you have to

pulse the ignition wire with a positive and the key sense with a negative to disarm

then you have to have the key sense on with a ground while running

don't for get to use diodes on the key sense if using that wire for the bypass to


it also shows that this should be used before the trunk pulsing the key and ignition


as for rearming all i show is its RF only

that bypass should be doing the disarm if progamed right

with firmware ADS-AL(DL)-GM4 (V3.6)

Thanks for quick replys. I'm using virtualtach. As for the keysence (-)ignition of the remote start is triggering since the ads-al bypass is not giving a good ground. For the ignition wire of the car I'm using pink connected to the pink wire coming out of the remote start. And I've try 2 diffrent bypass moduls and same thing.

Ok got it working. Things I did was connect the 2nd acc to the 5901 viper. Made a better ground point for both bypass and alarm remote start. Diode keysence to gwr wire from alarm. Reset bypass to learn new code. And everything worked great like it needs too. Thanks everyone.
