I recently installed a compustar AS6000 (alarm&start) with the 2way 900 remotes. The problem I am having is that when the alarm is disarmed, the L.E.D. light for the alarm flashes when a shock is detected from the shock sensor. So when the system is disarmed and the customer is driving his car the L.E.D flashes every time he hits a bump. Is there a way to turn this L.E.D. off while the system is disarmed?
never had an issue of the led flashing while unarmed. What you wnat to check is programming and look for LED flashing with ignition off, with shock, etc.
If you are able to program it, change it to Flash only when no ignition.

Update your brain. The last software kept the shock sensor on. Update it and you'll be good to go.

you will only be able to update the brain if you have the BLADE module.

you can also download the updates from
www.firstechonline.com through the authorized tech page. You will need the updater cable and the secure valet switch. No need for a blade. Best Luck!
You can update the brain with both ways.
Either you have an ADS-USB updater cable and a Blade or a ADS-USB updater cable and an LED Valet switch.
If you dont have the LED Valet Swich. You can twist pin 1 and pin 3 off the valet input together and this will act as a substitution for the Valet Switch.
If you have an OP500 you have a cable. It comes in the box. Use the CM4 connector. If you dont have that your gonna have to swap some pin locations off the connector to update the controller. Call Firstech for furthur help.
