Hey I installed a Viper 5901 on my 2006 GMC Sierra some time ago.  Everything functions perfectly, however, it does something weird with the park lights that I can not seem to figure out.  When the truck is started, the park lights come on....after a random amount of time (usually 6-10 minutes into start) the park lights shut off.  They turn back on if you unlock the doors, or anything else.

Anyone have any ideas???

Hey Kevin, I used a Fortin INT-SL+ and used the park light wire on that module.  Maybe I should check to see where the signal is actually dying for the park lights??  If the Viper still has output for the park lights then maybe I should bypass the module and go directly to the park light switch?

Thanks a million for any information!!

use the Viper straight to the Park light wire at the BCM (-)... super easy to get to and i've never had any issues with using it.... might be the module flaking out on you.....

run a wire for parklights to the vehicle. dont use it through the INT-SL. I use lots of fortin products, the only thing i dont use via the INT-SL is parking lights. There were some problesm with the INT-SL if it didnt haev the latest firmware on it. It was because the unit didnt receive a high current ground when running (status wire). although this was a electrical issue, the software issue is sometimes the resistance would fluctuate so it would throw off the parking lights.
