I want to remove one remote from memory on my Aftermarket Generation AGA-1201 remote starter.

I have it installed in a 2000 Hyundai Sonata, and it works great, but I have another that I want to install in my 95 Suzuki Sidekick, and I have only two transmitters, total.  This came about because I bought a whole new unit to get the transmitters, because the first unit had one bad right out of the box, and the other got lost-icated.

The manual shows how to teach one:

CODE LEARN, Ign ON, Valet 5x, New xmitter: Lock, UnLock. get 5 chirp/flash. Do all again for 2nd one.

And then it says to delete old ones, but doesn't say how.  Thanks to anyone who can help.

It deletes whatever ones you did not program during the last remote program sequence...So everytime you learn a new remote...You must learn all the remotes at that time...Otherwise if you try to just program one...then one that was previously working has been deleted...Make sense(first cup of coffee)

tommy,

Thank you, I will add your instruction to the schematic I made for my installation.  I wonder why they didn't point this out in the AGA-1201 manual?

Oh well, thanks to you the oversight has been cured.  Thanks again.

ALSO To the Moderators.... You should allow rookies to edit their posts, because they (me) have not developed familiarity with wording their statements.  The experts can just "rattle it off" without needing editing...  Plus I mak speling erors.
