Alarms kills battery

I have a autopgae rs750lcd in my 99 GMC sonoma. WHen the alarm is armed it draws so much current that it can kill my battery in a day if not started. Anyone know why the alarm is pulling so much current? Thanks

Test it with a Digital Multi Meter.
Just pull out the main fuse on the alarm, put in a jumper wire and put each of the lead of your DMM on each end of the jumper wire to close the circut. Put you DMM in amperes and then remove the jumper wire and you should get a ampere reading.... If it is more then 10 miliamps then the problem is your alarm... if not then you prob have a short somewhere...
Also do you have a starter Kill?? if you do make sure your starter kill relay is not constantly on. So wire the 86 part of the coil to your ignition instead of constant lead so that the starter kill relay only kills the starter if someone gotten power to the ignition to try to turn it on.... I think that might be your problem....Good luck

I never put the starter kill relay in. The only external relay i put in was for the 3rd ignition wire. Per thr autopage manual it says to wire a constant fused 12v source to the 87&85 post on the relay. COuld the problem be there? When should the third ignition wire have power, only when i am trying to remote start? This is frustrating i have double checked all wires and everything is hooked up correctly thanks for your help!

one that alarm is a peice of shi^^^ two there is got to be a short somewhere . make sure your wires are not pinched anywhere.

thanks for your opinion about my alarm, but it's not what i was looking for and was inapproproiate. There are no pinched wires, i've checked re-checked and had another person go over them. How can a short cause the car's battery to die anyways?
