I installed a Crimestopper 1704 DPFMII starter with an idatalink ofa-30 bypass with I believe ch-6 software (the jan. 2010 update). Everything with the starter functions fine....Except....

He says that one of his OEM keys w/integrated fob no longer starts the vehicle (turns on acc. etc.) If he remote starts the vehicle and uses that key to turn the vehicle on it works (my thinking is the vehicle has already been tricked into thinking the key is already there).

Has anyone come across this before? is it something I could have done? I have never heard of this before.

How about a remedy?

Regards,

Gavin

I hightly doubt it's anything you did. In fact, didn't you have to have two keys to program the transponder bypass? That must mean it worked when you installed the rs.
