My wife just had an AS2363 installed in her 2008 Civic Si.....I was going to install it, but with the deal they offered, it was honestly better for them to install it......they marked retail on the starter from 259, down to $129 and did the install for $150.

But now I'm having trouble and they are telling me it will be two weeks before they can look at it.  They used an idatalink ADS-AL CA, which provides all needed signals.  The problem I'm having is that the car cranks too long.  I have relearned tach but it still cranks too long.  Is there a way to remedy this without rewiring directly to an injector?  Should I try using virtual tach?  I've never tried virtual before and am unsure how it would work, but I know I can adjust the time manually with it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you tried moving the Tach Threshold jumper to the other position and doing a Tach learn?

Worth a shot if you have to wait 2 weeks for service....

the tach output from any canbus module is crap. there is a slight delay.

run the wire to the injector.

If they ran the R/S tach wire ( 5 pin connector, purple wire ) to the ADS AL CA that is your problem.   According to the ADS AL(DL) HA Ver 3.4 install guide, the Type 6 install for the Civics does not supply a Tach signal.

hmm...thank you for pointing that out.   Maybe they're already tapped into the injector/coil or using virtual tach.   Wife was rushing to get her car back after I changed the oil so I guess I'll have a look later tonight when she gets home from work.  If its virtual, I'll drop the crank time a little...if its off an injector I guess I'll change the sensitivity and see where that gets me.

Another problem I'm looking into is the trunk not opening when the car is running under remote start.  I have tried changing options in the programming, but still no luck.  It does function perfectly from the factory key as well as the autostart fob, as long as the car is not running.  Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Thanks a million for the help!

Thats normal.  Check install guide on the bottom of page 2.  It should work if you hardwired it directly from the R/S trunk output to the trunk release wire in the car.  It's a Green (+) wire and can be found either in the Drivers Kick Panel or in the 42 pin plug at the top of the fuse box.

the ads will do trunk pop via canbus if the car is not on, buf if ignition is present, trunk no longer will pop.

you will need to use a relay and wire the negative trunk output to a relay

85 - trunk release output (-) from unit
86 -constant 12v
87 - constant 12v
30 - to trunk wire

sorry, forgot to update you guys.  Turns out they did use virtual tach.  I turned down the time delay a little (a lot actually) and it is much better now.  I think the next time I get a few days off I'm going to modify the trunk wiring and run a wire out to the injector for the tach

Thanks a million for all the help and information!
