Hey all. I got a Viper 5901 Security/Remote start installed on my Manual transmission 2010 Camaro and for some reason the car wants to shut off after 2 minutes and restarts shortly after again during a Remote Start.
It's worked fine since October. Last Wednesday I took it to the body shop and during a repair of the left mirror, they had to unplug the electrical cord that powers the left side view mirror. That's all they did though.
On the remote screen it says 25 mins left out of 27 when it shuts of and restarts.
Another thing is that there is an option to restart to the remote start timer so if say you had 2 mins of 25 mins left on your remote start time, you can reset it to 25 mins left. I tried this 1 minute into the remote cycle and it does work by giving me another 2 minutes before the car shuts off.
Anyone happen to know what the cause might be? I'm actually thinking it could be the simple unplugging of the mirror cable but not sure. Thanks!

Take it in and have your installer trouble shoot it. This should be no big issue. Maybe the techs at the body shop were playing with the remote or the unplugged more than they said, you never know.
