ok so my distributor ran out of the avital stand alone remote starts so i picked up a compustarft-6200s-cont with the one button remotes. ok first off i have never done one of these before and its nothing like any DEI ive ever done in my life. how the hell do i program the options? i see how to program the remotes but thats it. please help i have to install this tomorrow for my buddys wife for her birthday

most settings can be done from the remote but only if you have the 1way remote with 4 buttons.

if you have the 1 button only you are screwed. You will need an OP500

There is one other way to program the FT-6200-s.   If you are using an iDatalink Blade module that plugs into the FT-6200-s and have the iDatalink USB interface programming cable, you can set the Compustar options when you flash the Blade module. 

When you go to the iDatalink Web site to flash the correct firmware on the Blade module, you will be able to update the Compustar FT-6200-s with its latest firmware and set its programming options on line, at your PC, from menus on the same web page  Pretty nice routine!
