I have an issue thats driving me nuts. I have a Viper 5701 installed with all features working perfectly except one.
When I use the 2-way remote for remote start, trunk release, arm & disarm, and temp check, the remote gives me feedback tones and led's perfectly. What it doesnt do is page me when my alarm siren goes off. The remote is silent and doesn't blink led's.
Also, when I arm in silent mode, (func x4 & arm), it gives me the 4 tones. When it is triggered, it doesnt activate the siren & lights, but doesnt page the remote in this mode either.
The only time the remote will give me the sounds and lights that the alarm is going off, is when i hold the arm or disarm for panic.
Something that might be related is when I try to get 'last trigger request' (func x4 & func), I always get an error tone with red led.
I have pulled the constant fuse for 1 min, didnt fix.
I have disconnected the car's batt for 1/2 hour, didnt fix.
I have re-learned the remote, didnt fix. (if i did it right)
Do I have to delete the remote, and then do the autolearn to do this properly?
Bottom line, the remote seems to be working in 2-way fine, except for alerting me when the alarm is going off, and 'last trigger request.' I have searched all over the place for info on this issue, and found nothing except people having NO 2-way communication. Your help but be greatly appreciated!

I would like to update anyone else with this problem. I was not re-learning the remote the correct way. Once i did it correctly, it fixed my problem. Here is a link to the guide I used. It was the supplement, not the install or manual:
