the nuetral safety wire is basically the hand brake wire into the unit. did you install the asianwold AUTOMATIC unit into your mannual tranny truck? ------------- Ted

the unit should have a handbrake wire of some sort. it might be called something else. if you can upload the diagram of the unit, we miht be able to help.

actaully, i hope you have the hood pin hooked up. Does it start with the hood open? If it doesnt start you might be lucky and it canbe done. the 689m send a negative output to go into the handbrake wire. If you use a relay and wire it to the hood pin wire, when reservation mode is set it will start. ------------- Ted

i do have the hood pin connected and it wont start with the hood open but how would i connect the 689m with out a N/S wire to me it looks like the way the module works is it uses the netural saftey wire to kill the starter and uses the hand brake as an input to the module

you dont have a hand brake, but you do have a foot/emergency brake. connect the 689m module up as per instructions. take the neutral safety out, connect to a relay
85 - n/s from 689m 86 - constant 12v cut your hood pin wire, from the switch, branch off 2 wires. one will go to the relay pin 87 and the other just to pin 30. 87a - ground 87 - hood pin wire switch side 30 - to hood pin shutdown wire on unit how this will work is, when the 689m is ready,, the relay will latch 87 and 30. It see no ground so it will start. If the hood is opened during remote start, the wire connected from switch will cause the unit to shut down as its connected straight to the alarm. if the 689m is not set, it will cause a straight ground to the hood pin wire disabling the remote start function. If you wire it up like so and it does not work, since some units it will monitor hood pin at all times, if its an alarm unit, it might cause continuous faults unless you can disable the trigger. i have not ever wire it like this myself, im can visualize it in my head and that how i see it would work. If someone else ideas and or i wired it wrong, keep us posted. ------------- Ted

it is an alarm so wiring it like that will cause the alarm to go off all the time
i was thinking of using a relay to open up the starter wire coming from the remote start
pin 30 to either side of the cut starter wire
pin 87 to the other side of the starter wire
pin 85 to the N/S wire of the 689M
pin 86 to trucks ing wire
so the only way the starter wire will be able to start the truck is when the 689m puts ground to the relay and ing from the truck
what do you think ?

that would work as well. However i never dealt with asianwolf units. Does it crank 3 times and if all fails it turns off? if so it should be ok. ------------- Ted
