I have a Hornet 554t installed in my 03 Mustang.  I originally wired the trunk release to the aux and everything was fine.  I have since added a 530t that I have wired to the aux so that I can vent and roll my windows down via remote.  Inorder to get my trunk release back I wired it to the progressive secondary door unlock, two clicks of unlock in 10 secs and the trunk pops, one click and just the doors unlock.

My problem now is that after you drive the car and  turn it off the trunk pops when the alarm unlocks the doors.  Is this just an diode isolation issue? Or can I not wire the alarm this way?  Can anyone suggest a better way of wiring the trunk release along with the 530t module?  I suppose I could disable the auto lock/unlock w/ ignition feature,  but I would rather fix the problem at it's source.

Thanks,

Jeff

The problem is that the igniton controlled locks is turned on, turn this feature off then it will work the way it is hooked up. You could also hook it up to the fourth channel output(I think your alarm has this).

The 554T has a total of 3 outputs, 2 of which are optional:
chan 2 (RED / white, main harness) = constant negative for as long as the button is held after 1.5 seconds,
chan 3 (internal) = remote start,
chan 4 (violet/black, 3 pin harness) = programmable output.

In you situation, I would wire/program the trunk release to chan 2 and the 530T to chan 4. I have done this plenty of times.
